Description:
We run clear_vir01 (hot) every day at 4:05 AM and we noticed that it appeared to still be running this morning when the system was not allowing updates at around 8 AM.

Resolution:
Stopping/restarting aleph corrected this problem.

I have created KB 16384-34577 with an analysis of this issue. As discussed there, we recommend running clear_vir01 in cold mode.
