    Description:
I set up a custom job in job_list, but when the system tries to run the job, the log shows an error for the log file. Here are my notes about the custom job and the log message:

    alephe/tab/job_list.conf

    W4 W NYYYYYY

    alephe/tab/job_list:

    W4 06:30:00 N yesterdays_retur.log /app/exlibris/aleph/prod/abc/yesterdays_returns_sql

util e/15/4 (the jobd -- job daemon -- log) shows:

    Performing Jobs:
    ----------------
    /app/exlibris/aleph/prod/abc/yesterdays_returns_sql
Unable to open log file /aleph/prod/bcc/alephe/scratch//app/exlibris/aleph/prod/abc/yesterdays_returns_sql_111003
    44

    Resolution:
It seems that the job_list entries for the other scripts *do* work OK.

One difference I see is that the column 4 logfile name for those is less than 11 bytes. This allows for the addition of the 9-byte suffix (such as "_13373552") while keeping the total length of the logname under the 20 bytes allowed for column 4.

Shortening "yesterdays_retun.log" to "yestrtn.log" corrected the problem.
