In submitting manage-07 ("Update Short Bibliographic Records"), what values should be selected for the "Record Type" and "Delete All Short Doc Records" parameters?

Answer

The options for Record Type are

* z13 (Short bibliographic record) only
* z00r (Fields from document) only
* both z13 and z00r

If the problem necessitating the running of manage-07 is with just the z13 or just the z00r, the job should be run for just that table. (Note: the z00r is much larger than the z13 and building it takes much longer.)

"Delete All Short Doc Records" deletes the records of whatever type(s) have been selected: the z13 [and z13u*] only, the z00r only, or both the z13 and the z00r. "Yes" is the recommended value for "Delete All Short Doc Records".

Additional Information

*Anywhere that "z13" is referenced on the submission screen it refers to both the z13 *and* the z13u. The z13u is a supplement to the z13, containing up to 15 user-defined data fields.
