    Description:
Recently we had a question from one of our users concerning msjava.dll (MS Java Virtual Machine). It is our understanding that for Aleph version 15.5 we need to have this installed on the PC for printing to work correctly. It is also our understanding that the MS virtual machine is being phased out and therefore will not receive security updates in the near future. Currently the Aleph 15.5 installation program installs msjava.dll on newer XP machines if the file is not detected on the computer. With later versions of Aleph will the automatic installation of msjava.dll stop?

    Resolution:
    Here is what was done:

    1. MSVM and saxon.exe were removed from 18.01
    2. The alephcom.ini falg SaxonVersion does support Saxon8.jar in all versions. This was verified.
    3. Saxon8.jar is supplied with the GUI package of 18.01 though you should set your alephcom.ini accordingly

    Corrected in 18.01 fix #12496
