oracle_imp_aleph_libs: unique constraint (ABC01.IOT_Z127) violated
- Article Type: General

Description:
We are seeing thousands of occurrances of the following error in running the oracle_imp_aleph_libs to import our v17 data onto our new v20 server:
IMP-00019: row rejected due to ORACLE error 1
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1 encountered
ORA-00001: unique constraint (ABC01.IOT_Z127) violated
Resolution:
The z120 and z127 are the Union View tables. Since the abc01 tab100 has "UNION-LIBRARY=0", you are not using either Union Catalog or Union View and neither the z120 or the z127 is actually used.
As can be seen at the end of the $TMPDIR/oracle_imp_aleph_libs.log.32081, the oracle_imp_aleph_libs is continuing to run (successfully): there is no indication of any error except the z127.
Since you are not using the z120 or z127, they are just taking unnecessary space, and I think the simplest way to prevent these error messages in future imports is to delete them (anytime) prior to doing the export.
Note: If you *are* using Union View or Union Catalog, you can rebuild the z127 by running $aleph_proc/create_z127 after the import is done.
