p-acq-28: Change Order Status and EDA in Order Records

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
How do I run p-acq-28? There is no online help for this service. Thanks.

    Resolution:
p-acq-28, Change Order Status and EDA in Order Records, updates the order status and/or EDA for a group of orders. The batch service uses an input file of ADM number + Order sequence + ADM library.

The batch update of order statuses acts in the same manner as a manual update. No order or cancellation letters are sent as a result of the status change.

    Help for Each Field:
    Notes:
    1. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory.
    2. The names of input and output files must be entered in lowercase, with no spaces or special characters except underscore and hyphen.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    INPUT FILE
Type the name of the input file. This file must contain order keys (ADM number + Order sequence + ADM library), and must be located in the $alephe_scratch directory. The orders can be retrieved using the General Retrieval Form (acq-02-01) service.

    NEW ORDER STATUS
Choose from the drop-down list of order statuses. To change the EDA only, choose None.

These statuses come from a section in the pc_tab_exp_field.<lng> configuration table (ACQ_ORDER_STATUS). If you want to show specific statuses, create a ACQ_CHANGE_ORDER_STA entry in pc_tab_exp_field.<lng>.

    UPDATE EDA?
    Choose either Yes or No.

    NEW EDA
Choose a date or set the date to zero. The default value is zero. Make sure the dates you specify are reasonable.

EDA dates will be set to 0000000 if the order status is changed to NEW, WP, PS, WB, QSV, DNB, or RSV. Set the EDA to a specific date if the status is changed to SV or RET. Do not update the EDA for statuses such as CNB, VC, LC, REJ and CLS.

Note that when an order is sent with an EDA of zero, it does not appear in the Claim Report and Letters for Monograph Orders (acq-12).

    RUN TIME / AT
The service is submitted to the batch queue for execution on the day and hour specified. The system uses a 24-hour clock. For example, 1 P.M. is 13. Valid hours are 00-23.

    LIBRARY
Select the library on which you wish to run the service. The libraries that are displayed are filtered according to the user's permitted libraries.

    PRINT ID
Print IDs are used to identify the file as belonging to a particular person, department, or purpose, or to identify the PC which will call the file for printing.

Enter the relevant Print ID, which will be added as an extension to the output file name.

The Print ID must be entered in lowercase and with no spaces or periods.

    REPORT LANGUAGE
Select the language in which the output report will be printed. The available languages are system-defined.
