p_cir_32 not removing circulation log entries

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
We are testing the cir-32 (remove patron IDs) service. The circulation logs that we want to revmove are from the following tables:
    z35 (Event table),
z36 (Loan History, all status and all sublibraries), and
    z37 (Request History).

The number of days to retain is 500 (see attached screenshot). However, after running the service we find that the circulation logs older than 500 days still exist in patron records (see attached screenshot).

    Resolution:
As described in KB 16384-18434, we suggest that you *not* use p_cir_32 for the z309 but instead run p_cir_78.

    [Old Answer:]

The "circulation logs" file which you see when you have "Circulation Log" highlighted under Patron Activity in the tree on the left is z309.

In order to remove the circulation log records for a particular patron, you need to check "Y" for the "Update Circulation Logger Table (Z309)" in the p_cir_32 submission screen.

In addition, if you have deleted patrons online in the GUI, you will need to implement v18 rep_change 1088. See KB 8192-8121.
