    Description:
We load our faculty/staff and student patron records via two separate PLIF files. Currently, the fac/staff records show address-02 above address-01 when we view address information (in the GUI Circ Address Information tab). By contrast, student records display address-01 above address-02.

How do we get -02 to be above -01 for students as we have it for fac/staff?

    Resolution:
The system uses a non-expired address in preference to an expired address (and displays it first).

    Patron ID234, address type 02, has z304_date_to = 20080518, while the type 01 has z304_date_to = 20250101.

Patron ABC-00000505 has z304_date_to = 20250101 for both address types.

When both addresses are non-expired, the type 02 is given preference -- the default system behavior. Note that values in the ADM library tab_bor_address can override this behavior and, if there are no lines in tab_bor_address, the tab100 DEFAULT-ADDRESS. If neither is specified, the type "02" takes precedence.
