Description:
I tried to load patrons for ABC50. Out of the 658 records, 402 error out with a "Cannot update/delete record. Login record belongs to other patron." (in the $data_scratch/p_file_20_report file). I have looked at the Z308 IDs for the patrons that are erroring and can't find the problem.

Resolution:
(Using the util f/2/5/1 utility) this is what we see in the p_file_20_20110407_abc_su p_file_20 input file:

The b_file_20_merge_z308 program checks the P-NULL-STR for the VERIFICATION, VERIFICATION-TYPE, and STATUS fields only. It does not check the *KEY* for P-NULL-STR. There is special processing in the program for the case where the LOGIN data for the barcode is blank. Therefore, I suggest that you leave the LOGIN field blank rather than specifying the p_null_str value ("-").
