p_manage_01: z113 ... table or view does not exist

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.01

    Description:
We are running p_manage_01 in parallel. In the p_manage_01_a step they see hundreds of messages like this:

    Oracle error: update_cursor z113 ....
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist ....

The z113 does exist in the ABC01 library.

The last time we ran this in parallel was before version 16 (August 2003). At that time, it was looking for (and could not find) z114, which we use as a chinese dictionary. I stopped the process (per Omri) and started over. I checked the interim logs (unfortunately the final log was deleted) and there was no reference to z113 which is perplexing. If z113 is empty on abc01, then perhaps it was replaced by z114? z114 was created by noam after we went live and were having cjk issues. I am going to let this process go to conclusion and then have the staff check it out....

    Resolution:
Only sites in China need to worry about this. Other sites can ignore any z113 error. ....

[From Judy Levi:] Z114 is required for CJK word building and CJK filing. Z113 is used for CJK segmentation, which is NOT used outside of China, and is therefore not required at Harvard installation. Please ignore the error message. ....
