p_publish_06 fails to include current text of changed collection code

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

    Description:
We've run publish 06 today and the generated xml doesn't reflect yesterday's changes.

Yesterday we changed the label for ABC50 collection "SLP", from "En entreposage" to "Laviolette - P?riodiques".

On the generated xml, we still see "En entreposage".

    Resolution:
This shows that the abc50 tab40 was updated at 8:48 yesterday:

    aleph@aleph-app(a20_2) ABC50> ls -lrt tab40.eng
    -rw-r--r-- 1 aleph exlibris 4981 Apr 26 08:48 tab40.eng

And we see the following line in ./abc01/scratch/run_e_21.8396, indicating that bib# 545645 was processed by ue_21 at 11:53:

    HANDLING DOC NO. - ABC01.000545645 2011-04-26 11:53:32

But we see that the abc01 ue_21 has been running since last Friday (4/22):

    HANDLING DOC NO. - ABC01.000000244 2011-04-22 19:41:26

**When you update a table which is read by an Aleph ue_nn process, you need to stop and restart that process in order to make it use the updated table.**

[Note: KB 16384-14146 discusses the Publishing process in general.]
