    Description:
What are the ramifications of running p_union_02 in the production environment? Is anything "locked"?

    Resolution:
The union jobs do not lock the library, but the p_union_01, which *must* precede p_union_02, sets all the z120 equivalencies to blank. Thus, during the time that p_union_01 and p_union_02 are running, Union View will not be usable.

    You have three choices:

    1. Temporarily change the abc01 tab100 UNION-LIBRARY to "0" (and restart the www_server) while these jobs are running. The results will not be grouped under a preferred heading but, instead, each title will display as a separate entry.

    2. Run the union jobs in a parallel library

    3. Point the OPAC to your Test server while the union jobs are running.
