p_union_02 error: "Warning: Max # lines (100) reached." [in union_global_param]

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
We are still working on the upgrade express from 18 to 19. Yesterday I ran the course reading indexing steps and see in union-02 this error for each school:

Warning: Max # lines (100) reached.

The job continues (as copied below). SInce this follows the line regarding the loading of the union_global_param file, I looked at that file. It has 180 lines, 37 of which are not our libraries. This was created in step 56 of the UE (the adding of 4 lines for each of our xxx30), which added 120 lines to the file.

Is this error something that can be ignored or do we need to take some action?

    Resolution:
    Four lines, such as these:

    PKC30 B candidate_prog union_candidate_course 100
    PKC30 B match_prog union_match_course
    PKC30 B preferred_prog union_preferred_course
    PKC30 B normalize_prog union_normalize_cdl

have been added to $alephe_tab/union_global_param for each of your 29 Course Reserve libraries.

That makes a total of 116 lines for these libraries alone.

You could eliminate the USMnn and CUNnn lines, but that would still not bring the total below 100.

We hope to have a fix for this soon.
