    Description:

What is the difference between saxon7.jar and saxon8.jar. Are there any advantages to saxon8.jar over saxon7.jar? Is there a system overhead for the PCs in running saxon8.jar given the executable is so much larger than saxon7.jar?

    Resolution:

We've been unable to ascertain any differences and, therefore, conclude there are no known advantages to using saxon8, and therefore advise continuing to use saxon7, though either should work.

To use saxon7, you need to set the alephcom.ini flag SaxonVersion=saxon7.jar .
