    Description:
I got the 3M machine to connect and it calls up My patron record on from the test server. I made sure my patron record has no blocks but I can't seem to get a book to checkout. and the server log doesn't seem to be very specific about the problem...

The sip2_server log shows: "Apply to circulation desk - Unable to loan/renew item."

    Resolution:
We see that the sc_global_loan_item program  calls  tab_attr_sub_library_get_n to see if this device is authorized to perform the transaction for this sublibrary.

It checks for a "CLIENT-GUI-LOCAL-ID" (a regular pc passes a value for this; it seems that the self-check does not), and, if blank or not found, checks by ip-address.

You need to add the ip-address of the self-check machine to the xxx50 $data_tab/tab_attr_sub_library.
