tab17 for library closed on Saturdays and Sundays in summer

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
Something is very curious about tab17, several of the libraries have everyday in July and August as closed.

An example is of 7CC. They have whole months with a C meaning closed.

    Resolution:
When column 2 of tab17 is populated with a specific date, column 3 (day of the week) should be blank. Here are examples from the usm50 tab17:

    17A 20060501 C
    17A ####1225 C
    17A ####1226 C

This is what I see in the abc50 tab17:

    7CC 20110701 00 C
    7CC 20110702 00 C
    7CC 20110703 00 C
    7CC 20110704 00 C
    7CC 20110705 00 C
    7CC 20110706 00 C
    7CC 20110707 00 C
    7CC 20110708 00 C
    7CC 20110709 00 C
    7CC 20110710 00 C
    ...
    7CC 20110701 06 C
    7CC 20110702 06 C
    7CC 20110703 06 C
    7CC 20110704 06 C
    7CC 20110705 06 C
    7CC 20110706 06 C
    7CC 20110707 06 C
    7CC 20110708 06 C
    7CC 20110709 06 C
    7CC 20110710 06 C
    ...

I believe that what you are trying to say that 7CC will be closed on Saturdays and Sundays (day "00") in July. This is what you should do for that:

    7CC 201107## 00 C
    7CC 201107## 06 C

    *not* the preceding.
