    Problem Symptoms:
    * A line from tab_www_item_desc.lng is ignored, meaning the original text (column 2) is still displayed in the OPAC instead of the web text (column 3).
    * The original text (column 2) contains a special character (for example an umlaut)

    Cause:
    Wrong character conversion applied to the table.

    Resolution:
    1. Check if the following line appears in tab_www_item_desc.lng:

    CHARACTER_CONVERSION=8859_8_TO_UTF

    If it is there, delete it.

    2. Restart the WWW server (util w/3/1).
