    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20, 21, 22, 23

    Problem Symptoms:
The ./xxx01 or ./xxx10 $data_scratch/run_e_01_a.nnnn log ends with the following error:
    Execution error : file '/exlibris/aleph/a20_1/aleph/exe/fix_doc_ref_1.gnt'
    error code: 114, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11)

A parallel error can occur when ue_01 tries to process the same record:

    Execution error : file '/exlibris/aleph/a22_2/aleph/exe/fix_doc_ref_1.gnt'
    error code: 114, pc=0, call=1, seg=0
114     Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11)

    Cause:
More than 20 characters in column 6 of tab11_acc. (As can be seen in the header, column 6 is limited to 20 characters, including any initial "-".)

    Resolution:
    1. Change the ./xxx01 and ./xxx10 tab11_acc so that no line has a column 6 with more than 20 characters.
    2. Restart ue_01.
