    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
    ue_01 aborts with the error:

    Execution error : file '/exlibris/aleph/a16_1/aleph/exe/update_acc.gnt'.
    error code: 114, pc=0, call=164, seg=0.
114 Attempt to access item beyond bounds of memory (Signal 11).

This happens when certain bib records are sent to the server (and ue_01).

    Resolution:
The ./copy/TYP_X file, copied in by the ./com/update_acc and get_docx_typ programs, has:.
    TYP OCCURS 5.

Since the program automatically includes the FMT as a TYP, a bib record with more than 4 TYP fields will have this problem. You can see how many TYP fields a record has by doing util f/1/29.

16.02 rep_change 980 and 17.01 rep_change 138 prevent the Execution error by limiting the expand_doc_type to 5 TYP fields (FMT plus 4 more). You should make sure that the most important types are listed first in your tab_type_config.

In version 18 the number of occurrences of TYP is being increased to 10..
