    Description:
I am running ue_08 to link the bibliographic records and authority records. While the authorities seem to be linking okay, there are error messages all through the file.
Oracle error: io_commit ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
Should I stop and restart ue_08? Is this because there are other jobs running?

    Resolution:
This error can occur when Oracle is taken down (or comes down) while the ue_08 process continues to run. (The aleph_shutdown *should* stop this.) Check the $alephe_root/aleph_shutdown.log to see if it is. Or, the next time you do the shutdown, check to see if ue_08 is stopped. If the run_e_08 log is continuing to show this error, then, yes, stop ue_08 and restart it. The record it was trying to process when the error occurred may not be linked. You should be able to see the number in the run_e_08 log.
