    update_cursor_z700

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 20

[This article duplicates Article 000040326 ("Oracle error: update_cursor z700; ... table or view does not exist") and has been archived.]

    Problem Symptoms:
Error message from Oracle appears when trying to save or load a patron record (z303):

    Oracle error: update_cursor z700
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

    Cause:

    Resolution:
    Version 19-up: [tab100 ILL-MODE obsolete:]
The check_z303 program calls io_z700 (Z700 = ILL partner) only if the z303_ill_library (field "Ill Unit" in patron record) is not blank. If the z303_ill_library is blank (-- which it *should* be if you are not using ILL), check_z303 will not look for an associated z700.

You may ignore this error message or delete the information from field "Ill unit" in patron record (Circulation module).

If you are getting this error in running p_file_20, consult KCS 17986.

    Additional Information

    Version 18:
The check_z303 program calls io_z700 only if the z303_ill_library is not blank and TAB100-ILL-MODE = "2" (indicating that use of the "New GUI" ILL). If TAB100-ILL-MODE does not = 2, then the program checks the z303_ill_library against tab_sub_library, looking for a matching sublibrary code, type "6" (ILL unit). If the z303_ill_library is blank (-- which it *should* be if you are not using ILL --), check_z303 will not look for an associated z700.
