    Description:
I understand you have had a problem doing util g/3 for an xxx90 library..

I assume that you are objecting to the fact that the util g/3 for an xxx90 library uses the usm01 as its base (this can be seen by dlib-ing to xxx90 and then doing "echo $base_demo_lib") rather than usm90.

    Resolution:
The ./util/uh_01_a program which sets the base looks at the tab100 DOC-TYPE to determine what library to set as the base. If the DOC-TYPE-BIB is "Y", then it uses USM01.

As you can see in the xxx90/tab/tab100, DOC-TYPE-BIB for xxx90 is "Y". There is no separate doc type for a union catalog library. (The xxx30 Course Reserve library is also defined as "BIB" and also uses usm01.).

I can request that this be changed, but I'm not sure just what could be done. (Taking USMnn library as the base for the xxxnn library is probably going to viewed as too simplistic: there's nothing in the system saying that an xxx90 library is *necessarily* a union catalog library....)
