We find that util

o/1 ("Oracle Server")
o/2 ("Oracle Listener")
o/3 ("Oracle Logs"), and
o/7 ("Archiving")

do not work on our server. For example:

util o/1/3 (show server status) gives only "Enter CR to continue..." and

util o/3/1 (view alert log) gives "cannot open `.../alert_aleph0.log' for reading: No such file or directory"

Resolution:
You site is "Two-task" (with a separate database server), therefore, the util

o/1 ("Oracle Server")
o/2 ("Oracle Listener")
o/3 ("Oracle Logs"), and
o/7 ("Archiving")

do not work.

You need to connect to the database server to get this information.
