x-server information feed: loan status values

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 16.02

    Description:
We are working to use the X-server and would like to confirm what loan-status means in the following context.

We believe it is the z36-status field but would like to confirm this.

For the Aleph X-Server, Here is the relevant snippet:

    <loan-status>A</loan-status>
    <loan-in-transit>N</loan-in-transit>
    <loan-due-date>20071001</loan-due-date>
    <loan-due-hour>2400</loan-due-hour>

I am interested in what the potential loan status codes are and what they mean in human language.

    Resolution:
There are three possible values for the z36_status:

A = Active: item still on loan

L = Lost: either p_cir_13 or Circuluation staff (in Circ GUI) have marked the item as Lost

C= Claims Returned: patron claims that the item has been returned.
