    xxx30 ue_01: "I/O error : file '.../ndc30/tab/tab11_acc'

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 19.01

    Description:
One of our libraries, PQR30, have been loading records into their PQR30 Course Reserves library, and the ue_01 process to indexing is not running. I tried stopping and starting it, but it does not start. There are 65 records queued up in z07 to be indexed. The logfile for ue_01 does have an error in it on our production server, pqr30/scratch directory:

    update_sort_doc
    Load: /tmp/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u19_1/sys30/tab/tab01.eng
    Load: /exlibris/aleph/u19_1/sys30/tab/tab_sort
    update_acc

    I/O error : file '/exlibris/aleph/u19_1/pqr30/tab/tab11_acc'
    error code: 3/5 (ANS85), pc=0, call=1, seg=0
    13 File not found

    Load: /tmp/utf_files/exlibris/aleph/u19_1/sys30/tab/tab_expand_join
    Load: /exlibris/aleph/u19_1/pqr30/tab/tab11_acc
    ~
    ~
    <etc.>

I do not know what this means since other libraries that use course reserves do not have a tab11_acc in their xxx30/tab directory either?

    Resolution:
It seems that it's your intention to have the programs use the sys30 $data_tab files in many cases rather than the xxx30 files. This is accomplished via path_convert.

There's a mistake in the ./pqr30/tab/path_convert. It has the following line:
    $pqr30_dev/pqr30/tab/tab11_pqr $sys30_dev/sys30/tab/tab11_pqr

    This line *should* be:
    $pqr30_dev/pqr30/tab/tab11_acc $sys30_dev/sys30/tab/tab11_acc

If you compare this to other xxx30 path_convert's, you will see that that is what they have.
