    Question

Since version 18, www_server and z39.50 searches have been recorded in the z69 (OPAC Events) table and the z35 (Events) table is no longer needed in the bib library for OPAC search statistics, but is it needed for GUI search statistics?

    Answer

    * There is no Aleph service which produces statistics on GUI searches.

    * A local script (reading the bib z35) could be created to get such statistics,

    * In this case, the bib z35 would be required.

    Additional Information

The header of tab_events.lng and the z35.pdf document have failed to indicate the role of the z35 in GUI searching. See KB 16384-55155 ("Is z35 written to by GUI searches?")
