    Description:
We are trying to diagnose some problems with our z37 hold request records.... We see many records where the z37_requester_id is empty. Is this a problem?

    Resolution:
This is normal. The z37_id is the column which contains the ID of the patron placing the request.

The z37.pdf document says this about the z37_requester_id: "If the request was placed by a proxy borrower, then this field contains the Z303-ID of the user that placed the request. In this case, the Z37-ID field contains the Z303-PROXY-ID."
