It is possible with Alma Sets and the Alma Publishing Profiles to pull data out of Alma that cannot be pulled out of Analytics. However, it is not possible to import the exported data from Alma (or another data source, such as ILL) into Analytics and then base the results of a report on a field imported from an external file. This greatly limits the usefulness of Analytics.

Ex Libris Response (06 Jan 2020): Ex Libris will rollout OBIEE v. 12 in March 2020 to North America and in May 2020 to the rest of the world. OBI v. 12 allows users to import files of external data into Alma Analytics for use within their reports.

Ex Libris Response (20 Nov 2018):  Ex Libris is currently evaluating a later version of OBIEE that allows users to import data into Analytics. They are in the early stages of looking at this and cannot comment yet on whether or not they will upgrade Alma customers to this later version.
