    Can't return item from temporary location.

    Question

    When trying to return an item in a temporary reserve location to it's permanent location a persistent error message is displayed: "Could not determine the next action for the item. Please contact the fulfilment administrator to check the configuration of the item."

     

    Additionally the item is still charged the patron that had the item on loan. 

     

    Answer

    If the temporary location and the permanent location of the item are served by the same circulation desk the system may not be able to process the return. 

     

    Please attempt to return the item to another circulation desk. At that point it should be in a transit status to the home location and discharge the loan from the previous patron. Then scan the item at the correct circulation desk to put the item back into place at the permenent location.
