    Description

When a due date is calculated by the system, the library's closing time is always used as the due time. We do not want to use the closing time. A return should be possible until the end of the day even if the library is already closed.

    Resolution

Go to Configuration > Fulfillment > Physical Fulfillment > Advanced Policy Configuration.

Filter by Policy Type =Due Date, and select the row with the relevant policy. Click the three dots and Edit.

You see the box "At (HH:MM)". It contains a note: "If empty, the library's closing time will be used".

So, if you do not want to use the closing time for the due date calculation, you need to enter something in this field - for example "23:59". This will allow items to be returned until the last minute of the day. The closing time will be irrelevant then.

Please note the following: The change will not be applied retroactively. Current loans will retain their due dates and times. Only new loans done after the configuration change will get a due time of 23:59. For current loans the new time will only be applied after a renewal.
