Can Alma be configured to display menu "Please choose your current desk/department" that will direct users to select a location at login (i.e. whether to enforce the operator to decide which Circulation Desk or Acquisition Department to be connected to when connecting to Alma)?

Answer

This is set up in:

1. Alma Configuration > General > General Configuration > Other Settings
2. Parameter > force_location_selection_on_login

Additional Information

If set to "true" the system will open a dialog box during logon, requiring staff users to select a location immediately after logging in.
If set to "false" the system will automatically set the physical location to the user’s last specified location.
