    How can I define the default location for purchase orders?

    Question

    When I create a new PO Line for a physical material I always get an item with location "Unassigned location".
    How can I define the default location?

    Answer

    You need to define the default location per library. Do this as follows: Alma menu > General > General Configuration > Configuration Menu > Libraries > Manage your institutions libraries > Library tab > next to desired library click actions > edit > fill in the "Default Location for Acquisition".
