After performing a search in Alma, results are sorted by Call Number - Ascending or Descending. Why are the items sorted in an incorrect order?

How can this be configured so the search results are in the correct order?

Answer

Check if the search results include more than one Call Number Type. Items only sort by Call Number within a single Call Number Type.

If some items have a Call Number Type of "Library of Congress Classification" and some have a type of "Other Scheme," these results will not sort in a single set.
