    Description

In Primo VE "Get It", we sometimes see either a "Request Issue" or a "Request Other Issue" button. What is the difference?

    Resolution

The "Request Issue" button is related to a General Hold Request. It is displayed when you deal with a BIB record without items.

The "Request Other Issue" is equivalent to what used to be called "Request a different issue" in Primo Classic. It appears when an item has a description or the resource holding has a summary holdings field.

Both buttons are supposed to enable requesting items that may have not been cataloged but they appear under different conditions.
