- Product Version: Feb 2018 Release
After checking out a book, we tried to change the due date to April 3rd, 2018. However, Alma would not let us pick that due date. So we tried April 4th and 5th. Each time Alma would push the due date to April 6th. We checked the Alma Calendar. It does not show any discrepancy that might cause this to happen. This same scenario happened with another patron as well.
In Alma Configuration, click the dropdown in Configuring, and select your library. Then go to Fulfillment>Library Management>Opening Hours. You'll see your hours. If you look at the Record Type of Standard opening hours, you'll see that none of them have a check mark in the Inherited column, which means they're being defined at this Library level rather than inheriting definitions from the Institution level.
This is where I see that the Standard Opening hours for Fridays (the day of the week the loans are being pushed out to) are listed as Valid to 8/4/2018; the Standard opening hours for Monday-Thursday only have a Valid to date of 3/30/18, and Sat-Sun only have a Valid to date of 4/2/18. Push out the Valid to date for these Standard opening hours here (and apply changes, of course). Then you should be able to check out the item and change the due date.
