Year in record's brief view after quick cataloging
Question
When creating a record using quick cataloging, e.g. >Resources >Create Inventory >Add Physical Item and you don't add a publication date to the form, a year will populate in the 008 anyway. Where does this year come from?

The year is copied from the Metadata Editor default template, field 008 (for MARC21):
