    Translatable

This section describes how you can configure Alma Analytics to work with the Network Zone to create reports containing information from the Network Zone and to share reports created in the Network Zone. Both configurations require setting a parameter in both the Network Zone and member institutions.

When creating reports with Network Zone data, use the fields from E-Inventory > Portfolio Details for Consortia. These are the only fields in analytics for which network information is available.

If you want to create reports that do not include Network Zone data, use fields from other dimensions and either filter the results to be just from your institution or include the Institution > Institution Code field in the report.

Configuring Analytics to Display Network Zone Information

You can create reports in Alma analytics containing information from the Network Zone. To configure this option, set a parameter in the Network Zone and in the member institutions.
To configure the Network Zone to share information with member institutions:
    1. From the Analytics configuration page (Configuration > Analytics), select Analytics Networks Settings.
    2. Set the analytics_network_inventory_available_for_members to true.
    3. From the row actions, select Manage in Network.
    4. Select Save and Distribute.
    5. From the light-box, select Override member institution customization and select Confirm.
To configure the member institution to access the network zone information:
    1. From the Analytics configuration page (Configuration > Analytics), select Analytics Member Settings.
    2. Set the analytics_network_inventory_available_for_my_institution to true.
    3. Select Save.
You can now create reports that include Network Zone data.

Configuring Analytics to Access Network Zone Reports

The members of a Network Zone can now access the analytics reports created by the Network Zone. To enable this functionality, you must set the following parameters to true:

To enable Network Zone reports to be available to members:
    1. From the Analytics configuration page (Configuration > Analytics), select Analytics Networks Settings.
    2. Set the analytics_catalog_available_for_members to true.
    3. From the row actions, select Manage in Network.
    4. Select Save and Distribute.
    5. From the light-box, select Override member institution customization and select Confirm.

When a member institution runs a report acquired from the Network Zone, only data of that member institution is displayed.

Members of a Network Zone may access the analytics definitions shared from the Network Zone.

To enable members to access the Network Zone reports:
    1. From the Analytics configuration page (Configuration > Analytics), select Analytics Member Settings.
    2. Set the analytics_catalog_available_for_my_institution to true.
    3. Select Save.

When both parameters are set to true, the Network Zone report folder is visible to the member institution, which can access the reports as read-only. The member institution can edit the report and save it to its institution folder.

Watch the How Network Zone Member Institutions Can Access Reports Created by the Network Zone video (9:28 minutes).
