Metadata Management

The repository operator will be able to perform an improved advanced search for titles with high accuracy, using specific metadata fields and subfields. It will allow for the use of criteria beyond the predefined indexes.

Ability to create an indication rule in the Metadata Editor using a form, thus making it simpler to create such rules

• Include institution related record information – bibliographic and inventory  ​

• Include consortia and its members' related record information – bibliographic and inventory​

• Incremental publishing will also be based on updates to the related records or inventory

The institution or consortia catalog will have better exposure 

• Provide the ability to use one wizard to perform either merge, overlay or the combining of records in the Metadata Editor

Catalogers will be able to control specific bibliographic headings from linking or not linking to authorities

• The cataloger will be able to exclude a heading either from the authority task list or the metadata editor​

• The cataloger will be able to define excluding rules for heading linking

The cataloger will be able to perform catalog maintenance tasks more accurately with less effort

• The cataloger will be able to use multiple records to enrich a record and improve its quality​

• The cataloger will be able to compare multiple records and align their fields as needed

The Authority Control Task List will be updated and redesigned for better usability, performance, productivity and overall user experience

• The cataloger will be able to focus on the relevant group of tasks​

• The cataloger will be able to perform a bulk operation

• The cataloger will improve workflows enabling staying in context

• Ability to select multiple values in the facets
