Administration and Infrastructure - December 2017 Enhancements

    • A section was added to the SIS report to include counts for unchanged users in the total records processed. Unchanged records are records that have been included in the SIS feed, but did not include any changes to existing records and therefore did not cause any update to an existing record.
    • Internal users that use external authentication methods such as SAML or LDAP that were locked are now unlocked if the lock duration time has passed and the user enters correct credentials.
    • You can now create institution notifications. Unlike notifications that appear in the home page notifications widget (which the user can hide), these notifications appear to all users at the top of the home page between certain dates or until the user dismisses the notification. For more information, see Configuring Institution Notifications.
    • In the new UI, if you customize the columns on a page, the configuration icon now has a small green dot in the lower right corner configure_repostory_list_icon_customized_ux.png. When you click the icon, the option to Restore list defaults appears. Click to restore the fields and actions to their out-of-the box settings.
    • For non-repository searches (PO lines, funds, and so forth), which do not use the new UI's enhanced recent searches feature, you may now be able to select a previous search string using your browser history. The enhanced recent searches feature is still available for repository searches.
    • idea_exchange.png Idea Exchange: In header section on any page, when a value is too long to display in the header, a partial value appears with three dots (...). You can hover your mouse over the partial value to see the full value in a tooltip.
