360 KB: Elsevier Databases: Titles Will Be Removed -- January 2025
What is happening to the Elsevier Databases?
ProQuest currently has title-level information for a few Elsevier databases in the Knowledgebase. The provider Elsevier has decided that those databases are no longer being updated.
The Elsevier databases are no longer being updated. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from those Elsevier databases and the databases will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on January 27, 2025. Those databases will become zero-titles databases, and no future subscriptions will be possible
Database Name | DBID |
---|---|
Elsevier Open Archive Journals | ABVKL |
Elsevier ScienceDirect Open Access Journals - Bibliosan | NCXOZ |
This means that these databases (and their titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for these databases. However, the databases will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.
Actions you may need to take:
- If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before 27 January, 2025:
