360 KB: African-American Biographical Database: Database will be retired -- August 2023

What is happening to the database African-American Biographical Database?

The content from African-American Biographical Database from provider Chadwyck-Healey has migrated to the ProQuest platform. The Chadwyck-Healey site was sunsetted on June 30, 2023. The African-American Biographical Database content will not be represented as a standalone database from ProQuest, but the content is findable in the ProQuest Black Studies database (DB code: UXAQP). More information from ProQuest can be found here.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), the database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on August 29, 2023. Libraries that currently subscribe to the database will continue to have access to this database, though the content will no longer be available on the Chadwyck-Healey site. However if your library is not already subscribed, you will not be able to view this database in the Knowledgebase. (NOTE: The database code for this database is ADS.)
