What is happening to some CRKN databases?

CRKN databases from various providers are migrating to new updated versions.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from these databases in the Knowledgebase on December 1, 2020. The databases will become zero-titles database. (NOTE: The titles are now available in other existing CRKN databases)

The CRKN databases from various providers are no longer being updated. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from these databases and the databases will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on December 1, 2020. The databases will become zero-title databases, and no future subscriptions will be possible.

Update: The provider, CRKN, updated its request. Titles will not be removed from database Wiley-Blackwell Online Library Upgrade 2015 - CRKN, db code BOGZA. This database will be hidden and no future subscriptions will be possible.

This change will take effect on December 1, 2020:

See full list of affected databases.

    Action you need to take:

    • Update the holdings in your Intota or Client Center profile by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  For information on how to update your profile, and considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after December 1, 2020.
