What is happening to the database Dawsonera eBooks?

The database Dawsonera eBooks from the provider Surridge Dawson Limited is no longer being updated and is no longer hosting content. In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on our Knowledgebase collection policy), the database will be hidden in the Knowledgebase on August 15, 2020. Libraries that currently subscribe to the database will continue to have access to this database. However, if your library is not already subscribed, you will not be able to view this database in the Knowledgebase. (NOTE: The database code for this database is 20A.)

Titles previously available on the database Dawnsonera eBooks will now be accessed through the database VLeBooks from provider Askews and Holts Library Services Ltd. (NOTE: The database code for this database is 38. [three eight dot].) Note that this transition is presently in progress: please allow time for the content migration from Dawsonera eBooks to VLeBooks as data is transferred between platforms and subsequently sent to ProQuest for ingestion into the KB.

In the meantime, for this reason and for Resource Manager purposes we are not currently removing titles from the database. Note that the URLs no longer lead to content. If this is causing your institution any issues, please unsubscribe from this database.
