360 KB: IOS Press Databases: Titles Will Be Removed -- November 2023

What is happening to the IOS Press databases?

    30-Nov-2023 update:

After further discussions with IOS Press, we have come to an agreement to keep their collections as "Managed by Ex Libris".

We greatly appreciate your feedback in this matter, and view this as yet another instance where transparent collaboration with the community and content providers leads to positive outcomes for all involved parties.

There are no changes to the status of IOS Press collections.

Note: This change is currently on hold due to further discussions with the provider.

ProQuest currently has title-level information for the 3 IOS Press databases in the Knowledgebase. The provider has informed us that they will no longer provide title lists for our products

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the Knowledgebase collection policy), all titles will be removed from the 3 databases in the Knowledgebase on November 14, 2023. The databases will become zero-titles databases. Please note the databases codes will remain the same.

    Affected databases:

    Database Code Database Name
AEGIU IOS Press Open Access Ebooks
    IOS IOS Press Publications
    -2F IOS Press Books Online

This means that these databases (and their titles) will not be available to your patrons who use the E-Journal Portal or 360 Link, and you won't receive MARC updates for these databases. However, the databases will still be available for 360 Search, 360 Counter, 360 Resource Manager, Intota, and the Summon™ service.

Actions you may need to take:

    • If you are a 360 Resource Manager, 360 Counter, or Intota client, you may need to make some changes to your account settings before November 14, 2023:
      • Intota users click here.
      • Client Center users click here.
