360 KB: Literature Online (LION) - International Clients Database: Database Migration -- October 2014

    • Product: 360 KB

What is happening to the database Literature Online (LION) - International Clients?

ProQuest currently has title-level information for the Literature Online (LION) - International Clients from provider ProQuest in the 360 KB knowledgebase. There are two versions of LION in the knowledgebase with two different URL syntax: one for US and one for International clients. When Literature Online (LION) moved to the ProQuest platform there ceased to be a need for different URLs.

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the 360 KB collection policy), all titles will be removed from Literature Online (LION) - International Clients database and the database will be hidden in 360 KB on October 15. The database will become a zero-titles database and no future subscriptions will be possible.

We ask that all clients subscribed to Literature Online (LION) - International Clients (Database code: CLF) move to the database Literature Online (LION) (Database code: CLO).

This change will take effect on October 15:

Before October 15: Literature Online (LION) - International Clients, database code CLF

On October 15: Literature Online (LION), database code CLO

Actions you may need to take:

    • Once the above change takes effect, update your Data Management by subscribing to the new database instead of the old database.  Information is available here regarding how to update Data Management, and 360 Resource Manager and 360 Counter considerations prior to removing the old database from your profile.
    • If you are a 360 MARC Updates client and have requested the custom specification that adds direct URLs or database specific information to MARC records, you can expect to see some change records when you get your MARC records after October 15.
