What is happening to the annual ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collections databases?

ProQuest currently has title-level information for several ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collections from the provider Elsevier in the 360 KB knowledgebase. The provider has requested that we retire these databases, as they do not represent the content as sold by Elsevier. Instead, you are encouraged to subscribe to the individual subject collections from year to year. We have been asked by the provider to align our collections with those available on the provider's KBART Products and Packages page, which requires us to retire some previously tracked collections.

The following databases from the provider Elsevier are no longer being updated:

• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 1995-2006 (DB code INJ)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2007 (DB code INM)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2008 (DB code INO)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2009 (DB code KYV)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2010 (DB code 5J3)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2011 (DB code BJ7)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2012 (DB code T1P)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2013 (DB code .69)
• ScienceDirect Science and Technology eBook Collection 2014 (DB code G.M)

In order to maintain accurate and authoritative provider metadata (based on the 360 KB collection policy), the databases have been hidden in 360 KB as of January 13, 2015. No future subscriptions will be possible. Current subscribers will still have access to the content of these databases, but the databases will no longer be updated.
