Wiley Collections in Alma Knowledgebase (February 2023 and later)

Ex Libris is aware of issues with some Wiley collections and whilst we continue to work with Wiley to resolve these issues, we would like to give you some clarity on the timeline for these cases.

Wiley has undergone a change within the team that previously worked with Ex Libris on content. Wiley is in the process of putting together a clearer workflow to address ongoing issues for our mutual customers, bear with us whilst we are all collaborating to improve this process.

Whilst this process is ongoing, we will continue to report issues with Wiley collections in Alma and CDI to Wiley, but we anticipate that there will be a longer lead time to resolution on some cases. We are all working to make the process faster in the future.

Thank you for your patience.

April 2023 update: Wiley has informed us that "for journals originally published in print format only, and/or have had a title change, older versions are merged into the current publication. This leads to duplicate ISSNs or DOIs, and lack of segmentation in the KBART reports. Wiley is aware of the issue. Currently there is no straightforward solution and so we advise libraries not to raise additional tickets."

March 2025 update: Wiley has resolved some data issues and overlaps, and they continue to work on the remaining corrections, which have been recently prioritized by Wiley Online Library and Atypon. Recently, some additional issues related to the missing or incorrectly listed entries in the Wiley Online Library - AutoHoldings Journals and a few other journals collections were reported by the mutual customers. These issues have to do with the print replacements and involve several departments within Wiley. The correction process is ongoing, and we will update you when Wiley has more information on the expected timeline for its completion.
