To help simplify the identification of your purchased and subscribed collections in the Community Zone (CZ), Alma now has the ability to display collection’s unique name and identifier as provided and maintained by the content provider.

This enhancement introduces two new collection-level parameters:

• Provider Collection ID

• Provider Collection Name

These fields improve collection identification, particularly when the collection appears in the CZ under a different name than the one used by the provider.

Once these values are defined for a CZ collection, they will become searchable in the Community Zone, Institution Zone, and Network Zone tabs.

Please note:

These parameters are managed centrally and cannot be updated or localized by customers.

The Provider Collection Name and Provider Collection ID will be available for newly created collections, and only when this information is explicitly provided by the content provider to Ex Libris.

In some cases, providers may share only the collection name. In such cases, only the name will be added, without the ID.

We continue to encourage our content provider partners to supply this information, and we hope the addition of these elements will streamline the collection identification and activation processes.
