What is happening to the Brill Online Reference Works collection in Ex Libris knowledgebases (KBs)?

Currently, we have the following Brill Online Reference Works collection in the KBs:

This collection is no longer being maintained by Brill. Due to the number of activations on this current collection, we have decided to keep it in the KBs but rename it to:

• Brill Online Reference Works Legacy

We will be creating a new Brill Online Reference Works collection which will have more accurate data than the current collection (613170000000000026).

This new collection is designed to better align with Brill's online reference collection, which can be found here: Brill Reference Works

The process of renaming the existing collection (613170000000000026) and creating the new collection will take some time to complete. We anticipate having an update on this change in April 2025. Once the new collection is created, we encourage customers to use the new collection since this will be updated and maintained by Brill.

Many of the titles in the old Brill Online Reference Works Legacy collection contained titles from these other Brill collections which were removed from the new reference collection:

BrillOnline Primary Sources: Collection ID: 615490000000000743 (DBID: ABXYI)

Brill Online Scholary Editions: Collection ID:615460000000000307 (DBID: ETGUN)

If you find that titles are missing from the new Brill Online Reference Works collections, we suggest activating these two other collections in edition to the new reference collection.
