    Question

    Are ORCIDs indexed in Summon?

    Answer

An ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a persistent digital identifier for researchers.

If the metadata provider provides them in a consistent way, we map and index them. The ORCIDs do not display in Summon; they are searchable only. To search by ORCID, use the following format, making sure that there is no space between the ID and the colon:

    (ORCID:XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX)
